American Kennel Club

We have been registered with the American Kennel Club for over 15 years. Our Kennel name all those years ago was McKay. This was a combination of the initials of all our family members. However, we decided to change our name when we became seriously interested in breeding and competing with out dogs.

American Working Collie Association

We became members of this organization just a few years ago. They are a very good group and provide a lot of information about working with your collies. Holly is certified through them as a Backpacking Dog and will (hopefully) be getting her versatility title.

Rainier Agility Team

In March, 2008 we decided to join the Rainier Agility Team. This is because we are gluttons for punishment and are never happy unless we have too many things going on. The Rainier Agility Team seems like a good group of people. They mostly compete in non-AKC events such as NADAC, USDAA and CPE.

Canine Performance Events

Early on in agility, waaaaaayyyy back in 2005, we decided to join Canine Performance Events. We didn't know what we were doing or anything really about Agility or the organizations. CPE seemed like a good, small venue to get started. The only problem is, they only visit Washington State twice a year. We have only competed in one trial at the time this blurb was written. But now, through our affiliation with the Rainier Agility Team, we get another chance to check out CPE and see what they are all about.

Overlake Collie Club

The local Collie Club. They are very involved in local Conformation shows. Their website has not been maintained for quite a while.

We joined this club in January 2009 and immediately got sucked in to volunteer for things.

North American Dog Agility Council

This is one of the two premier Dog Agility organizations formed to allow dogs that are not purebred to compete in Agility. They have been around since 1993.

We joined in January 2009 and attended our first trial in February 2009. It was great fun.

Collie Club of America

We hope to shortly join the Collie Club of America. This is the organization that oversees all local Collie Clubs and provides information on the Collie Breed and Standard.

United States Dog Agility Association

The other of the two premier Dog Agility organizations for non-purebred dogs. They were organized in 1986.

Dog Scouts of America

This looks like a fun group that brings dogs and people together in the great outdoors doing things with each other. You can even earn merit badges just like the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.
