Aurora joined our happy family in April, 2006. She was from Charlotte's Litter. We immediately fell in love with her unusual markings.
We are planning on breeding Aurora in the Spring of 2008. If all goes well, we shoud have puppies in the Summer of 2008.
Aurora is currently trainging in Agility and will continue to work on her Packing Title. She will start formal Obedience training with Michael in May 2008.
Since Aurora loved her brothers and sisters so much, she really missed them when they left. All her playmates were gone. The only animals left to play with were two old ones, her mother and Holly.
We bought some inexpensive duck toys for the litter to play with. Aurora loved to drag it around. She loves to play and have a great time.
Aurora looks up to her older "sister" Holly.(they aren't really related) She wants to do everything Holly does. Sometimes we catch them sleeping together.
As a small pup, Aurora loved to play hide and seek in the grass. She didn't really blend in because she is so colorful and the grass was soo green. But that didn't stop her from trying.
One of the first outings for Aurora was the Sultan Shindig. She didn't really like being away from home and was scared of all the people. But after a while she settled down and sat in Alix's chair. From that moment on, she has loved sitting in camp chairs.
Aurora has continued to grow. She is more beautiful than ever. With her increasing height, her unique markings are becoming even more apparent. We have received several compliments on her looks.
Aurora has fit in as one of the family. She loves her Holly and is annoyed by her mother. Just an all around normal family relationship.
Whenever she can, Aurora likes to jump on Michael and lay on him. She also loves to walk all over Michael while he tries to sleep. Aurora sleeps with Alix every night but likes Michael as well so runs to him when she gets up.
Aurora is coming into her own. She was shy around people and other dogs at first but seems to be rapidly overcoming this. We take her with us whenever we can and expose her to as many different situations as possible. She has gone from a shy puppy to a very outgoing young dog. She still barks at strangers when she first meets them but she rapidly warms up to them.
Test results from the Veterinarian have come back positive. Aurora is definitely pregnant! Puppies are due September 1st, 2008.
