General Health

Our Collies are all guaranteed to be healthy for 14 days after they are purchased. We test for what we can before they are sold. It is up to their new owners to ensure their health beyond this point.

Genetic Health

We check our Collies for Collie Eye Anomaly and MDR-1 drug sensitivity. We will test the parents for the MDR-1 sensitivity prior to breeding. The puppies will be tested for CEA between 5 and 8 weeks of age. There are many other genetic problems that can occur with any dog breed. We cannot test for all possible problems.

Our dogs are guaranteed to be free of seveal other problems listed in our contract. These are very unlikely but would be negligent of us to ignore.

Temperament

The only guaratees we make for the temperament of our dogs are:

When the dogs leave us they will:

• be friendly and used to people
• be willing to learn
• be playful and energetic

Remember, our puppies have never been away from their sibling or their mother. So they will be experiencing life with you for the first time. They will have the same problems as any puppy in a new environment for the first time.

When they get to your house, they will:

• Whine and howl until they are used to the new situation
• Chew on things as they are teething
• Grow and become much bigger and lose all their puppy cuteness
• Be willing to learn to do whatever you ask
• Be extremely unpredictable
• Love you unconditionally
• Respond well to nice treatment and poorly to poor treatment
