Paisley was a Canadian Champion. She came to us as a rescue dog. We got her from a woman in Bremerton WA. She was in poor health, her legs had atrophied, her teeth were falling out, and her white ruff was very brown. We can only assume she was kept in a crate for many months.

The story as we understand it is this: Paisley's original owner completed her Canadian Championship. She was well on her way to an American Championship when the woman passed away. Paisley's second owner was friends with the first owner. She took Paisley afterwards. But the second owner was getting on in years and her husband was ill. They were not really prepared to take on a dog. Eventually they had to move to Florida into a smaller home. They were unable to take Paisley with them.

We came and got Paisley along with her crate and a weed overgrown kennel. The crate was dark brown on the inside and her teeth were all falling out. We were planning to continue Paisley's show career but with 9 teeth pulled by the Vet on the first visit, we immediately realized this wasn't going to happen. We nursed her back to health and she lived with from that point on.

After a couple of years, Paisley's health started to fail. We bred her once and only once. It was a difficult welping so we decided she was never going to have puppies again. Paisley was the matron of the house after Echo passed on. She wanted to spend all her time with us but because of her health problems she couldn't.

We really lovee Paisley and she loved us. She passed away on February 10, 2008. Michael wrote a small story to commemorate her passing. You can read it here.
